Some comment …

Tasmania’s health system has copped plenty of flak for its long waiting periods, including ambulance ramping, presumably because inadequate resources are available.

Praise is due.

Getting the state to zero COVID19 cases required hard work – testing, contract tracing, quarantine checking and the like.

An outbreak in the north-west threatened to overcome the state, but was promptly dealt with.

Kudos to those who did the hard work, no doubt at risk to themselves.

Kudos to supermarket checkout staff and others who faced the public every day.

Tasmanians can now go about their lives in relative safety – hopefully Premier Peter Gutwein won’t be pressured into reopening the state prematurely.
